A Message From Andrea Bocelli

 Dear friends,
I am greatly moved as I write to thank you all for the affection and immense positive energy you were able to convey to me during the amazing Central Park event; it was all recorded, and the CD and DVD will be on sale all over the world very shortly.
It was a rather adventurous project due to the countless incognito aspects it involved; an obstacle course which culminated in a location of incomparable beauty, packed with memories and stories, this axis mundi in which, by some strange turn of fate, I found myself performing for the warmest of audiences but in the coldest conditions I could ever have imagined.
But you, the audience, stopped the rainfall and warmed the unexpectedly cold temperature with the warmth of your presence. And there were so many of you: about seventy thousand crowded onto the park lawn area, whilst who knows how many others listened to the concert from further afar, stopped by the security measures wisely imposed by the metropolitan police.
This album already has fond memories for me, for all my family who attended the concert, without exception, and for all my friends who followed the event from home with baited breath, waiting to hear first-hand news on how it went.
I have just returned home after a long journey that took me to Brazil and then onto Los Angeles; a lot of hard work, but also many steps towards the realization of the projects that I am highly committed to.  First and foremost comes the launch of my own Foundation (Andrea Bocelli Foundation) which has a perhaps visionary ambition of fighting poverty and boosting research in the medical-surgical sector; in short, to nurture the dream of creating a world that is a little more peaceful than the one we found.
So, as I was saying, now I'm home, with the dining table constantly set to receive my friends and family who I missed for most of the year; I also had my horses delivered, my patient and generous friends who are happy, perhaps, to be a breath of fresh air in my hectic life, a fundamental aspect as I prime myself for my forthcoming concerts in America.
